Clinical Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Director provides clinical and non-clinical supervision to all staff providing clinical services or having direct contact with clients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develops and administers all in-house clinical programs.
• Reviews client files to monitor treatment and case management practice to ensure that the highest level of care is provided at all times.
• Collects and compiles statistical data and completes reports.
• Ensures that clinical programs and facilities meet standards required by regulating and accrediting agencies.
• Demonstrates training/experience in daily triage and referral to appropriate level of care for behavioral health patients.
• Conducts monthly clinical staff meetings.
• Reviews all client complaints and addresses the concerns to bring resolution.
• Maintains and monitors the schedules of clinicians and office space.
• Meets daily with the Medical Director to review cases requiring audit exceptions and authorization for continued care.
• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of non-medical outpatient care under the direction of the Medical Director.
• Responsible for the hiring and supervision of clinical staff.
• Provides direct clinical services as necessary.
• Is on 24-hour call for emergencies in coordination with the Chief Executive Officer.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Social Work. State licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of counseling experience is required. In addition, at least 2 years of experience as a clinical supervisor is preferred.
Specific Skills: Knowledge of provision of clinical services in managed care settings, supervisory techniques, budgeting processes, quality improvement processes, and utilization management. Ability to write concise, clear reports and compile, analyze and summarize statistical data. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, provide leadership to a variety of individuals and act independently with good judgment.
